There was some engineers trains booked down the Cambrian out of Basford Hall on the night of the 1st March. Obviously they would have to be ERMTS fitted 97s and were booked to be formed of seacows for an added old school incentive. Even more old school was the fact that each train needed a secondman incase any of the crossings on the Cambrian failed.

The first one was 97304 on its own and the second 97303 and 97301 in a pair. The latter seen at Basford Hall prior to departure (which apparently could be heard from the other side of Crewe).
